# Version 8.4.0

October 9, 2026

## 🆕 New Features

### New Editor for Multiple Choice and Single Choice Questions

You can now edit multiple choice and single choice questions directly as learners see them, whether in a test or outside of it. Question text, answers, images per answer, background, feedback per answer, and global feedback are edited directly on the slide. You can find settings on the right under "Multiple Choice Settings". If your theme does not support this view yet, the editor will display a notice. All other question types will continue to use the previous editor for now.

### Visual Editor for Mr Fish

You now edit Mr Fish slides as a diagram: scenes appear as boxes, branches as connections. Via a side panel, you click from the scene to the element and to the answer. It also features automatic layout, an overview map, and a check before saving. For special cases, an expert mode with JSON is still available. You no longer need the external JSON tool.

### AI Question Assistant

A new assistant creates multiple single choice and multiple choice questions at once from chapters, tests, and files. You can review and adjust each draft before inserting (regenerate fields, resort answers, edit feedback). Afterwards, the assistant inserts all questions into a chapter. The assistant is enabled per organization and requires an AI budget.

### AI Ideation & AI cBook Creator: Structure with Slide Types

After the concept, a new step "Structure" shows you the layout of the cBook with chapters, tests, and subchapters. Each slide has its type, title, and a short description. The AI can rephrase titles and descriptions. You can add slides, tests, and chapters, adjust settings, and upload media per slide. Generation only starts once the structure is right. In the "Review" step, you then edit each slide with undo/redo and save explicitly. With "Apply presentation", an uploaded presentation is taken over slide by slide. AI Ideation and AI cBook Creator are enabled per organization and require an AI budget.

#### Concept view in the editor

For AI-created cBooks, the sidebar shows which concept version the cBook is based on (title, author, date), and you can read the concept.

#### "Created with AI" badge in the dashboard

cBooks created with AI now display their own badge in the dashboard, both in tile and list view.

### Image editor in the media library

You can now label and mark up images directly in the media library and create collages from multiple images. You can save as a new file, as a copy, or as a replacement for the original. White, light gray, dark gray, and black are available as collage background options. The editor is now available for all tenants.

### AI image analysis for generated images

When saving an AI-generated image, you can check "Analyze image with AI". Your choice will be remembered, and you will see the progress of the analysis or the reason why it was skipped.

### New page for cBook default settings

In the general settings, there is a new page for the values that new cBooks should be created with by default: language, theme including variant, logo, open or linear navigation, and engagement server usage. The cBook default settings are available to users with the "Administrator" role.

### Page Builder: Notice when text is too long

For AI-generated slides, the Page Builder now detects text that does not fit into its field. The AI assistant then suggests shortening the text, or you can leave it as it is. This feature is enabled per organization.

## ✨ Improvements

### Logo selection

You can now conveniently select logos in a media panel on the right side, both in the cBook design settings and on the new default settings page.

### Code editors

You can now format code in any language using Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+F or Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+I. Simply opening an editor no longer marks it as modified.
