Design Settings
Introduction
The Design settings control the visual appearance of your cBook — its theme, logo, images, and icons. To access them, open your cBook's settings and select Design from the sidebar menu.
As with all settings sections, remember to save your changes by clicking the round Save button (disk icon) in the top-right corner before leaving.
Theme
The Current theme dropdown lets you select from the available themes for your cBook. Themes define fonts, font sizes, accent colors, and overall styling. If you need additional themes, ask your organization's admin to add them in the general settings.
After selecting a theme, you'll see a row of icons indicating its capabilities — the features this theme supports. Possible capabilities include:
- Responsive — The theme adapts to different screen sizes
- Quick Favourites — Supports the Quick Favourites navigation feature
- Accessibility — Supports accessibility features
- WYSIWYG Editing — Supports visual editing in the page builder
These icons help you choose a theme that matches the features you plan to use in your cBook.
Theme Variants
If the selected theme has variants available, you can pick one from the Theme variant dropdown. Variants let you apply alternative styling within the same theme — for example, a different color scheme or layout adjustments. If no variants exist for your theme, the dropdown will show "No variants available".
Changing the theme will reset any previously selected variant.
Logo
Upload a logo that will be displayed in the header of every slide in your cBook.
- Click Add logo to open the Asset Manager and select an image
- Click Remove logo to delete the current logo
Logo Link Target
When a logo is set, you can configure a Logo link target — the slide a participant navigates to when they click the logo. Use the slide selector dropdown to choose the target slide, or leave it empty if you don't want the logo to be clickable.
Background
The background image provides a visual frame around each slide in your cBook.
- Click Add Background to upload an image from the Asset Manager
- Click Remove background to remove it
The current image name is shown next to the button. If no image is selected, it will say "No image chosen".
Cover
The cover image is displayed on the Dashboard as the visual representation of your cBook. The recommended dimensions are 210px x 140px with a 2:3 aspect ratio.
- Click Add Cover to upload an image from the Asset Manager
- Click Remove Cover to remove it
Icon Set
You can upload a custom icon set that replaces the default icons used throughout your cBook. This is useful for aligning the icons with your organization's visual identity.
- Click Add custom icon set to upload from the Asset Manager
- Click Remove icon set to revert to the default icons
If no icon set is selected, the default icons will be used.
